Delete your account & data
This page explains how to delete your Nonsense Podcast account and the data associated with it, what is removed, and how to request deletion if you can no longer open the app.
Delete from inside the app (fastest)
- Open Nonsense Podcast.
- Go to the Account tab.
- Tap Delete account.
- Confirm in the dialog. Your account deletion request is processed and you are signed out.
Request deletion without the app
If you can't access the app, email support@nonsensepodcast.app from the email address you used to sign in, with the subject "Delete my account". We will verify ownership of that email address and process the deletion request within 30 days.
What is deleted
When your account is deleted, we delete or anonymise the personal data associated with your account, including:
- Your account and sign-in identity, including your email address.
- Audio episodes you generated and the related audio files stored by us.
- Account-level subscription linkage used to manage app entitlements.
- Other personal data tied to your account on our servers.
What may be kept, and why
We may keep limited information where needed for legitimate reasons, including security, fraud prevention, abuse prevention, legal compliance, accounting, dispute handling, or platform requirements. This may include:
- Limited device-level usage counters used to enforce free-tier abuse limits. Retained counters contain no name or email address and, once deletion completes, can no longer be linked back to you.
- Purchase or subscription records handled by Apple, Google Play, RevenueCat, or other payment/platform providers.
- Temporary records in logs or backups until they are removed through normal retention cycles.
Purchases made through Google Play or the App Store are governed by the relevant store's refund, billing and record-keeping policies and are not fully controlled by Nonsense Podcast.
Timing & backups
In-app deletion is normally processed immediately. Email deletion requests are processed within 30 days after ownership is verified. Residual copies in routine encrypted backups are removed on our normal backup-rotation schedule, usually within 35 days.
